Personalized Exercise Programs with AI Support
1. Introduction
The ExorLive AI Program Buider helps clinical professionals (physiotherapists, medical doctors, instructors, and personal trainers) personalize exercise programs from natural-language prompts.
It offers:
Suggested exercises, tailored for you
Program title + description
Editable results for full professional control
2. Optimal Prompts
It responds to natural language. To write an optimal prompt, be clear, specific, and provide necessary context to guide the response. For instance, include:
Age / Gender
Injury or limitation
Setting (e.g. gym, home)
Frequency (e.g. 2x/week)
Training goals
Examples:
"Male, 58, long-term shoulder pain above 90°. Gym rehab, 3x/week.""Female, 75, recovering from hip surgery. Home-based balance training."
3. What the AI Does (and Doesn’t Do)
It is essential to understand what ExorLive AI Program Builder can and cannot do:
The AI can suggest exercises based on prompt content and metadata matching.
The AI can generate supportive titles and descriptions.
The AI cannot diagnose medical conditions.
The AI cannot independently evaluate comorbidities, risks, or contraindications.
All outputs must be treated as suggestions that require professional review and customization before patient application.
You are interacting with an AI system that might hallucinate. Final clinical responsibility lies with you.
4. How It Works
The ExorLive AI Program Builder generates tailored exercise program suggestions by combining advanced natural language understanding, utilizing an RAG Model.
AI Processing Workflow
The system uses a multi-stage architecture, coordinated through Microsoft Azure:
Prompt Understanding:
Summarizes the user's natural-language prompt using GPT-5 to capture intent, keywords, and training context.
Exercise Retrieval:
Searches ExorLive’s exercise database and ranks the most relevant entries using Cohere Rerank v3.5.
Reasoning and Output Generation:
Final suggestions—including the title, description, and exercises—are generated using GPT-5, a lightweight reasoning effort optimized for clarity and responsiveness.
This approach ensures that suggestions are both clinically relevant and computationally efficient.
Searches ExorLive’s exercise database and ranks the most relevant entries using Cohere Reran
ExorLive Classic includes around 1,000 core physiotherapy and fitness exercises for general rehabilitation and training. It’s a curated subset of the full 10,000-exercise library, meaning niche and highly specialized exercises are not included.
5. Privacy and Data Processing
The AI Program Builder processes the information provided by the user in the prompt.
The system does not require personal data to function.
Personal data will only be processed if the user explicitly includes such information in the prompt.
Users should avoid including identifiable personal data unless such processing is permitted under their organization’s data protection framework.
If personal data is included in the prompt:
it may be processed by the AI system to generate the requested program
such processing takes place within the scope of the applicable data processing agreement between the customer and ExorLive
Further information about privacy and data protection is available here: ExorLive AI – General Information
6. Professional Responsibility
The AI Program Builder is intended solely as a support tool.
Users remain responsible for:
reviewing all AI-generated programs
ensuring that suggested exercises are appropriate for the individual patient or client
modifying or rejecting suggestions when necessary
The AI Program Builder must not replace professional clinical judgment.
